Sorry, couldn’t resist the ‘uh’, which was the end of the line in a song called ‘Needles & Pins’ back in the mid 60’s, by The Searchers! Dates me, I know, but I can still sing pretty much every word, which I doubt I could say for any JayZ or Will.i.am song!
After having Craig pray for me last night, and Alan in the afternoon, I didn’t get to sleep too early last night. My body felt like it was tingling from head to foot (Needles and Pins uh?!)…. I just want to report that there is a good deal more movement and strength in the jolly old knees today, I’d be lying if I said they weren’t sore – and occasionally painful – by previously they’ve been that to such an extent that I’ve been pretty much immobile. So God’s begun something: I’m now praying that he doesn’t ‘sit on his hands’ again, and the progression continues! Alan, Barbara, and Craig all prayed for creative miracles – cartilage, ligament, tendon, synovial fluid (that comes up as ‘nontrivial’ in the spell check – it certainly IS non-trivial!!)….and – for me, this is exciting – I walked upstairs as you normally do… I’ve been doing it with both feet on each stair the past few weeks….so…. thank you, Lord, and c’mon Lord!
Just to keep those of you interested in the USA saga updated (I ought to write a book about it – so much to say about so many things!) – my immigration lawyer, Gunnar, sent me last night another ‘final’ revocation letter he’d received from United States Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS from now on!) – final, but with leave to appeal, yet again, by 19th May. We have no plans any more to appeal it: one day, when the house there (owned by dear friends here in the UK) is sold, I’ll explain in a bit more detail what’s gone on: I’ve learned so much, seen God do wonders of provision, and learned that perhaps, the Brit definition of friendship and commitment is different to some other places…
It’s odd, really, them turning me down after 4 years, because theoretically, after 5 years, I can go back anyway….! Whether I’d want to or not, I guess I’ll have to see at the time, but it would be useful to be able to transit en route to Central and Latin America….. Thank you for all your prayers, love, care, support, and blessing over this turbulent saga. Maybe better as a soap opera than a book….
