Last week, 17 January (and previously in December)I’d written the wonderful unfolding story of Raheema, a 23 year old Afghan asylum seeker in Sweden. December post was to say that I’d been asked to pray for her over the phone, last week was to say she’d been healed, and this morning, here’s my dear friend Maria Isacsson’s report, from Raheema, and her scan results:
- I talked to the Afghan girl and the x-rays talks about MS before and no MS after!!! The doctor said it was a miracle…..
I love doctors, I believe God works through medicine, skill, and gifting of doctors, but a doctor can’t totally remove Multiple Sclerosis from someone, and when a doctor says it’s a miracle, you know that God has invaded….
Talking of miracles…. as you know, I went to see the Orthopaedic Surgeon last week, and declined the – seeming urgent, humanly – course of action where my knees are concerned. If you read the blog that day, you’ll know that. What happened as a RESULT of the blog is that very long time friend Ian Andrews, sent me a message. Ian’s been involve in the healing ministry for about 50 years, and has seen just about everything happen miraculously that can be seen. There are many times when he gets words of knowledge by way of immediate, unexpected pain in a part of his body (God does that with me sometimes, too)…
As he read my report, he got instant pain in his knees, here’s his post:
- Paul, as I read this I got a pain in my knees- you know what that means pm me
so, on skype the next day, Ian – through whom I got involved in the healing ministry, attending a conference of his in 1983, prayed for me. I’d have to say that the improvement is MARKED, not total – YET! – but all sorts of other things that my knees, over 9 years, have wrecked, are working their way back into place. I DO still have pain in my knees, but it isn’t what it was. My ‘caved in’ knees have done damage to my hips, pelvis, spine, and especially my feet, which went from nicely curve arches a few years back, to being as flat as flounders….also, of course, walking ‘differently’ has meant the thigh and calf muscles have not been operating correctly, and they need to be ‘re-toned’. A lot of my inability to walk, at least fast, which I always used to, despite short legs! – is down to muscle wastage.
So, a miracle in progress: as Ian prayed for me, he asked the Holy Spirit to go to the heavenly prosthetics warehouse and get me two new knees…. often, when we’re prayed for, and it ‘doesn’t work’ or ‘seem to work’, we give up. That’s SO NOT THE TIME TO GIVE UP! It’s the time to start thanking God for the measure of healing, imperceptible, or even mildly perceptible, that we have received. Once you’ve given up, that’s the door to healing closed: because it is unbelief (‘It doesn’t work’). IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR GOD NOT TO ANSWER PRAYER!
Ian’s was the last, so far, of hundreds, maybe thousands, of prayers offered up to God for my knees. So, thank you Lord, I’m being healed….
