Just a few days ago, a dear friend of mine, Linda Hills, had this Scripture from Proverbs for Sergey & Svetlana: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.” (Proverbs 9:10-11).

It’s a very true statement of where the lovely Mironovs are at: day by day Sergey’s life is multiplied, every new day is a miracle against medical science’s prognosis. The promise that ‘years will be added to your life’ is what we’re claiming for Sergey. He’s been at home now for many weeks, and, bearing in mind that he was ‘disconnected’ from his food / fluid / medication source when he was ‘sent home to die’ by the hospital, it’s remarkable. He still has times of nausea: he’s still (physically) weak though spiritually strong and fighting. A long-time friend (from my days of going to YWAM, Perth, regularly), has his church doing some meals for them: Troy’s cooking, too, and has also taken to them lots of great worship songs on YouTube for them to fill their home with. (Troy’s a worship leader).

Both Sergey & Svetlana respond so much to people going to their home to pray: it’s the ‘human touch’ that has so much influence, and I’m grateful that friends of mine, mostly from the ‘opposite side’ of Melbourne (and it’s a big city), do go and pray for and with them. Svetlana says that there are no visual signs that the cancer is gone, or going: but the main visual sign is that Sergey’s alive and fighting! Svetlana IS saying that the process has started, and not long to wait to see things get better….!!!

Please, if you ARE praying for them, KEEP praying: this is going to be one awesome testimony as those days turn into years, and the Mironov’s lives are changed forever.
