Not so much chance to blog the last couple of days: but so much as happened! Wonderful meeting at Iglesia Casa de Oracion Rey /Jesus – one of my favourite ‘always-return-to-if they’ll-have-me’ churches. The Pastors, Diego and Candy, have become great friends over the years, and so many people in the church have, too. It’s the church I might have mentioned before, where some wonderful miracles have happened in healing /ministry times – like Astrid, healed 7 times of 7 different cancers… the church where I prayed for one lady, in Spanish, with breast cancer…I have to say ‘breast’ isn’t in my ‘everyday Spanish vocabulary’! – and when I asked her where the cancer was, she pointed….instead of saying the word.
Off I went in Spanish…and then came to one of those ‘dread’ moments when you realise you have to use a name, or a word, you don’t know… and I’d left myself with no get out option, I had to use ‘breast….’ Lord, help??!! I was still a few words away from needing to speak it, so my mind was in overdrive. I could only think of ‘tetas’ (bad boy!) – no translation needed, I’m sure! – and knew I couldn’t pray….’yo ordene este cancer en su teta se va ahorra’ in a prayer (my Spanish is a load of tetas sometimes!!!!!)…then, brainwave! ‘Breast of chicken’!! – pechuga de pollo. The relief!! NOT!!!
Yo ordene este cancer en su pechuga se va ahorra’…. and the lady laughed…as did everyone else around, and word went round fast as laughter prevailed… pechuga ONLY applies to chickens… blush, blush, ignominy! Hanny, the pastor’s lovely daughter (she and Carlos, her husband, are wonderful – dear, dear friends) helped me out with the RIGHT word…seno – but the lady was healed on ‘pechuga’! I suggested she go home and give herself a thorough examination and she’d find the tumour gone…. did she wait for home? Not on your life! A few minutes of very active boob squeezing took place at the front of the church…I had an arm around her, my other hand in my lap….suddenly, I feel my arm picked up and being propelled at a rate of knots towards her pechuga: about 20 centimetres away my presence of mind kicked in, and my arm took on supernatural strength and I stopped just in time before I started my breast cancer oncology training…
So many people healed: reports from July, instant healings this time, miracles… one man, with a very badly damaged knee in July from football injury (cruciate ligament, I think), came and told me he was totally healed. Prayed for many knees, unsurprisingly !! – all healed. One lady riddled with arthritis (arthroses here – is it the same thing, Lee and Katie Collier?)…all pain went. A boy with an eye surgery awaiting (about 9 yrs old) – glucoma – was healed. Steel went – again! – cysts went – from ovaries (the pain disappeared – of course, a scan of some sort is needed to confirm fully – from kidneys…. other kidney infections were healed, including stones being obliterated (the pain went, usually a good sign for kidney stones!!)… and on it went…
Then, as always, the lovely pastors took us to eat – a great burger restaurant…on leaving the restaurant, Candy, whose prophetic gift I have great respect for, as she’s usually right (not a bad test of a prophet, huh?), grabbed my arm, and said “God told me that he will give you a wife, he will raised you with a home and a family. Dont doubt about it.” I was so not expecting it, I didn’t really take it in, so I got Hanny to ask her mom to repeat it: then, the next day, we were in Carlos and Hanny’s terrific ‘Sound system’ shop (a musos dream!) and Hanny told me that her mom had called her (I think) and confirmed it again, this time triply sure it was God speaking…. that’s the third ‘house’ word I’ve had this year – it’s got to be a supernatural house as I’m perhaps the most un-mortgageable person on the planet! – at 63 years old in a month’s time, no guaranteed fixed income (and what I do get regularly is about 25-35% of what I need each month! I am also ‘carrying’, though, 4 completely separate prophetic words (in that they all came from different people, unconnected, in different countries) all saying virtually the same thing – ‘You’re going to live to the age of Moses’ (120, Deut 34:7… sight undimmed – so no need for glasses – happy to jettison them any time! – nor his strength gone… so seems to suggest my knees will be back on form soon!)…
Well. the house bit would be marvellous: I truly haven’t considered the wife bit for almost a decade and a half, and I’m not altogether sure what ‘family’ means…certainly not toddlers!! Life’s full of surprises, huh? Candy COULD have got it wrong…but to get it 3 times in 2 days seems worthy of consideration, at least… 😉
Oh Paul, I have tears in my eyes from laughing! What wonderful testimonies and what a brilliant translation boob! Oops, sorry, not!
As for a house, wife and family well you’ll have to wait and see won’t you but something’s clearly around the corner whichever corner it may be. Quite exciting! God is so good. x
