So, cos of ‘WW2’ ordnance, the ferry was cancelled…so as I didn’t want 12 hours in the port, and as I get there about once every 15 years, i went to Gunwharf Quays, (it’s an outlet mall) partly cos I was getting hungry, partly cos I needed a loo, and partly cos it’s got some good shops, all close together, so ‘walking’ friendly….
Just got out of the car, to be shouted at ( with everyone else!!) – evacuating the centre, cos of an unexploded bomb in the harbour……this flipping bomb seems to be one step ahead of me everywhere!! It’s been in the harbour for 70 years, why choose today to excavate the perisher?? Maybe I’ll nip down to Betway and see if they’ll give me odds on it being in my cabin tonight….
And of course, if it’s unexploded, what odds might I get on it NOT being moved by tonight’s ferry time….?
I think it’s turning me into an unexploded bomb for the next few weeks’ meetings!!
