Well, it’s been quite a week…. right now, it’s Friday, 11.36 pm: just finished a meeting & praying for people at the House of the Open Door community, in Childswickham, Worcestershire. Actually finished speaking at about 9.30….so 2 hours of praying for just about everyone in the meeting! HOD is the amazing place we come to normally as Rhinos: a place where to even DRIVE into their beautiful grounds is to feel the presence of God engulf you: to be with the wonderful spirit-filled Catholic folk who ARE the community here, is to be blessed beyond measure. I’m not their P.R. man, but if ever you need a break, or your church is looking for a retreat centre, this place is beautiful, special, and very precious (http://www.houseoftheopendoor.org/)
Sunday, in Catford, at Brownhill Road Baptist Church, was a super time. My mate Mark Hendley, from Maidstone, came to be alongside me, in a church that represents – I think – 18 nations. Prayed for loads at thend with some immediate healings, or miracles, if you call someone able to move totally freely having had a steel plate badly put into her hip! That lady’s name was Airy (assumed spelling!!), from West Africa, I believe: on crutches, in excruciating pain, and walking around the church, crutches-free, healed. both hips working well (both had been replaced, one was ‘ok’, the other failed, hence the steel)….. Mark had a prophetic word for a lovely young Hungarian lady, which was spot on for her – it was about joy, and she cried (go figure!!)….others healed – back disorders, duff knees(!!), and so much more in process.
Evening – church of John & Yvonne Pressdee (Rhino and Mrs Rhino) – wonderful time, again with Mark, and this time the lovely Brian Louden, plus a few others from Maidstone, including Nina Montoya and her super young daughter, Cerys: Cerys was wonderfully healed about 9 years ago, of major allergies – gluten, eggs, wheat, dairy… a nightmare for a young mum, Cerys was healed. She’s 12 now, going on 16: she testified in church, as did Brian after a miraculous healing that brushed shoulders with death 18 months ago. A lady with a Welsh name I can’t remember for the life of me, in chronic pain, frequently, a trapped sciatic nerve 7 years ago when her son laid ‘wrong’ in her womb… she looked awful ,the pain – as pain does – had effectively gone all round her body: sciatic pain is awful (personal experience!) and totally paralysing – healed instantly. Many others, too…. wonderful!
A lovely few hours Monday with Pete & Tric Hindley, from Seaford: hadn’t seen them for years, we planned a couple of hours at a service area that turned into 5 hours… looks like our paths will cross in the church they lead in Seaford before long.
Tuesday – Rhinos – France – amazing couple of days at the Crater of Lochnagar, the largest man-made crater on the planet: the ‘mine’ warfare of World War 1, where 5,000 young men died in the first hour, and 60,000 in the first day…. it’s a place where hundreds, if not thousands, of war dead young men still lay under the soil. It was wonderful to share communion there, and to pray that God would take the souls of the young men who died so instantly, and horrendously, in an assault that went horribly wrong. We always have a great time together, this was no exception. It was a real blessing for me to be with them right at the tie some awful news came through concerning my shipment of (relatively few) possessions from my life in the USA….a financial disaster that, as I mentioned in the last blog, may well result in legal action on my part.
The news had such a massive shock effect on me: I almost decided that physically, and emotionally, I would have to cancel being here tonight at HOD…. so glad I didn’t!! Drove here this morning. Met by – and prayed with and was prayed for – by long time friends Graham & Ann Coyle, from Worcester City Church. Super time with them, Ann’s got cancer – secondaries in her liver, they can’t find the primary, think it might be in the bowel – so it was great to have time to pray for that….in turn they assaulted my knees, the ‘threat’ of bowel cancer, and the aortic stenosis…
My delight is to shove what Satan wants to with/in me (and others!) back down his throat: tonight, in the dining room ,just with a hug, John was healed! In the meeting, a lady whose name I never found out, but a dancer – baroque and 15/16th century dance – chronic Achilles/knee problems – healed: Peter, with severe muscular/skeletal issues in his left shoulder – healed: Veronica – long-term back problems in much pain – healed (she’s chief ‘hoover-er’ here, so can do without back pain!). Lots of others…
Slightly different plan going home, taking a much-needed replacement back to Ireland, so a long drive to Scotland in the morning, and the an evening ferry to Belfast….
Life’s never dull! Not ALWAYS easy…but never dull…
