Even after 28 years or more, and even though now I EXPECT to see God heal, stories like this still bring me to tears, and astonish me….
Testimonies from Lainie & Gavan Murphy, forwarded to me by her Pastor, my friend Marco D’Angelo, from Cornerstone Church, Doreen, Victoria, Australia:
Hi Paul,
I trust you are well and that the pain has subsided in your knees?
May the Lord of heaven and earth bless you abundantly for praying in faith for Gavan and myself in our time of need.
I faced the weeks of severe attack from the devil (for he comes to steal, kill and destroy) with quiet confidence and deep faith because I know God is bigger than anything we face and that you were praying for us.
Gav has continued to improve slowly each day from Typhoid (that he first contacted in the first week of February in the Philippines,) although he is still weak and tires easily and his bowel actions are still not normal.
Praise the Lord the disease has not reoccurred and there have not been any nasty complications from the disease in his major organs of which we were warned could easily occur. 20% of people who contact Typhoid die from the disease or complications.
He has been back at work for over two weeks now but sadly his employment has just been terminated.
Paul as you may recall I was having a D+C on the 6th of March to confirm cancer of the uterus.
My doctor, the doctor who writes the report (from the ultrasound images taken by the sonographer), and my gynaecologist, were very concerned that I had cancer because of the symptoms of post menopausal bleeding at my particular age and the ultrasound report which revealed extensive and a very thick layer of hyper plasia and a polyp/ fibroid.
It was mentioned several times by my gynae’ that I would require a radical hysterectomy and chemo’ therapy shortly after the D+C and biopsy confirmed cancer.
I am very grateful to God to report that not one cancer cell was found.
As a preventative measure into the future, my gynae’ wants to treat me with progesterone and follow up with regular ultrasounds.
Paul, my gynae’ and my doctor were absolutely shocked with the pathology report from the operation on the 6th and at the same time so relieved and delighted for me.
I realized at that moment how hard it must be for caring dedicated doctors to watch their patients go through all the suffering of cancer.
I will pray for them.
You are a very precious man of God and I am so grateful Pastor Marko arranged for us to meet you.
Much love in Him, in whom we live and move and have our being.
Yes Paul, you may post what you think is relevant to a testimony which glorifies God.
Lainie Murphy.
