The main news is that Sergey is still a living miracle! He’s defied every ‘death sentence’ spoken over him by medics for a couple of months now – and most of those were ‘you have a few days, at most’….
I’m grateful to God that, as I’m so far away from him, Svetlana, and Mary, that there are some great friends in the Melbourne area who are going to see the Mironovs, pray with them, bless them, encourage them. Bill and Liz Hall went last week, and said that Sergey was very peaceful, though weak and tired. Elvira and Dmitriy went too, and said that Sergey still has great faith. They are still blown away by how many people around the world are praying for them, in many countries.
Later in the week, my mate Robert, and a great friend, Kylie, went to pray with Sergey. Rob’s report was: “Some good stuff came out of it but Sergey didn’t jump out of bed. We are hopeful something will happen tonight.” Sergey is still in pain, still nauseous, but he’s an incredible battler, and the war is won, he’s just winning the skirmishes that culminate in the ultimate victory. Those lovely friends who go calling include a long-time mate, Troy, who has been a few times now.
I asked the ‘group’ thread on Facebook if they could get some really powerful, faith building worship songs that they could just play constantly, to fill the house with worship, and to get a contemporary version of the Bible for them to read: hopefully that’ll all happen soon!
So: please pray that Sergey’s pain disappears, and the nausea: and that God will ‘see fit’ to terminate the battle in the next day or two, by putting Satan just where he belongs. What Sergey and Svetlana are gaining through this, in terms of faith, hope, and trust, seems to me to be like an accelerated ‘crash’ course in living by faith: I look forward to seeing what comes out of this awful scenario when the battle is finally won!! The testimony is going to be wonderful.
Thank you for praying for them.
